EXIST AuRora developed a springboard innovative software technology for robot program generation. This enables robot programmers to create the most efficient robot programs through the most efficient programming process. Simply automated.
Industrial robots are highly advanced, but their programming is costly and limits widespread use.
Offline programming (OLP) helps reduce downtime, check feasibility, and estimate cycle times.
While process-dependent movements are quickly generated, challenges remain: ensuring smooth operation
without aborts, avoiding collisions, and optimizing task sequences. Robot programmers use OLP software
to simulate and iterate solutions, but this is time-consuming and skill-dependent, often requiring rework with product changes. Additionally, an executable program isn’t always the fastest one.
Our Technology can automatically check your process description, whether a robot program is possible. If not it enables it by using the degrees of freedoms of your manufacturing process itself. If this is possible, via cycle-time optimisation the fastest found solution is applied into your OLP software. The programmer can check, modify and proceed with his usual workflow.
TechnologyThe five founders-to-be made a strong impression on the jury with their vision of automatic programming of industrial robots. The BMWK funding program EXIST research transfer is co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF). They were also cluster winners in the automotive sector of the IQ Innovation Prize for Central Germany in 2023 and received second place at the Startup Fightclub Saxony-Anhalt.
